I hate friends only livejournals.

This is one of them.

Comment telling me your latest revelation if you want in.

I kind of dislike it when people don't ever post anything that anyone can see. But I don't hold it against them - many just want their registered 'friends' to be able to read their entries.

But I find it a bit unnerving when I'm looking out for what to say, because I don't want something inconsiderate to leak out into the world. A mother of my friends once got my LiveJournal up at the top of a google search for my full name - that was a bit spooky:P - but since I don't bash everyone and anyone in my journal, it should be ok.

My latest revelation...?

Boom Boom Satellites is an enjoyably evolving experimental electronic hard rock band, I'm loving it!

If that counts as a revelation that is.

My Revelation:
I don't know if I want in unless I can read your journal. "a paradox a paradox a most ingenious paradox hurrah hurrah hurrah..." (I've never been able to remember the rest of the song...just that part)

I'd like a leap of faith because I pegged your inspiration on jr__nal. If you jump I'll add you too, because as much as I hate my friends-only journal, thats the way it is.

If not. Okay.

Umm.. revelation revelation. My breasts are like ziplock baggies filled with pudding.

*friends only LJ's* ugh. i do not know (or care less) about the percieved exclusivity. perhaps to render an atmosphere not necessarily of 'exclusivity' but of intimacy. i believe certain ideas and insights can only be best digested with intimacy as the first course meal.

incessant commie ramblings. yeah. that's what i am after.

This is friends-only out of necessity, not elitism.

I'm not a communist anymore. It's an insufficient doctrine.

My posts have been decidedly emo as of late.

Add at your discretion. I'll let you read it first..

The TV show Macgyver sucked! The fact that it ran for seven seasons must show something messed up about our society. And the fact that I'm posting about Macgyver on someone's LJ must say something messed up about me. And why is Arsenio Hall famous?

SO YEAH, THIS GIRL ASK ME TO TELL HER MY LATEST REVELATION TO GET ADDED TO HER FRIENDS ONLY JOURNAL... so here goes.

my latest revelation would have to be that, karma truely does exisit, the reason i say this is that, no matter how much you deny it, the bible is really just an elaborated version of the basics of karma, and that, the bible is the essence of good in bad, and that's exactly what karma is about. that and getting back what you give times ten to the extreme!!!!!!!!!

add me if you wish. ;)

I have to read Crime and Punishment for school, and thought it was like 700 pages, but then just realized that the last 250-or-so are essays! Which I still have to read, but I might do so with less care. Or much later.

Lame revelation. Today I also realized that flip-flopping isn't so bad (maybe it is for politicians, but not for relatively normal people like myself) but that wasn't my latest.

I want to be friends because we're the same age, and I enjoy your contributions to RMO and the relevant communities (to which I do not post; I only lurk unartistically).

I don't think flip-flopping - the Kerrybasher sense of the word - is bad for politicians, either. I don't someone in power who's so myopic and set in his ways.

I liked Crime and Punishment a lot...but it does take awhile to read. Haha, I did the same thing for Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I was panicking because it was the day before school started and I had to read that and write my summer reading essay, and I thought it was like 350 pages, but it's only 90-something pages and the rest were essays.

my revelation, although pretty weak, is that after reading the posts here and about everything on chicago09 I have no fucking clue what is going on, who is who, and what I'm doing at chicago next year. You seem to know most of the Lj people on uchicago2009 and what's going on on-campus. I'll be at the prospie thing next week and maybe I'll figure it out, but I already sent my forms in and got a confimation but I am now completely confused. Any answers?
Also, liked the prospie bill of rights, but you forgot the right to get mugged when walking alone, 10 blocks from campus, at 3AM. seems fair to me.

I met so many people at the weekend, and when introduced to somebody (warning: everyone at U of C shakes hands when introducing themselves, which i thought was businessmanlike and weird), i'd ask their name, what dorm they were in, smile charmingly, and promptly forget all that information. so, i ended up asking those same questions..a lot. i don't know how good of a guide i would be.

do i have answers? what are the questions?

i added you back.

Okay, revelations...
1) I have seen your entire senior picture parade and could probably pick you out of a lineup, but I can't read your LJ, weird huh?

2) There is a .0000000000001% chance that we could be roommates next year and the above might still be true.

3) The statistic in #2 is utter bullshit and totally fabricated. Don't be fooled by math.

Pretty swell, eh?

Did you know that ever since Bush massively cut Section 8 funding, whenever a Section 8 recipient's rent goes up, the Chicago Housing Choice voucher program neglects to cover its increased part of the rent unless someone takes it to court?

Did you know that if you're found not guilty by reason of insanity, even for something like kicking a car tire ("assault"), you're placed in a "secure forensic environment"--aka mental health prison--even if you were just off your meds that day and are receiving treatment, and that you're likely to remain there longer than the actual prison sentence (or probation or court supervision) would have even lasted?

Did you know that in Illinois they can 20% of your income for child support if you have one child with one parent, and another 20% for the next child with a different parent? And that the Illinois Department of Public Aid often breaks the law to collect child support from people's Social Security Disability checks, ignoring court orders and asking collection agencies to do illegal things without telling them the request is in violation of a court order?

Not that there aren't scumbags out in the world who try to hide their income and avoid paying child support. But still.

Moral of the story: Don't have multiple children with multiple partners. Unless you're able to maintain the whole polygamy thing without coming apart at the seams.
